But, more important, should we tell Matt to hurry?

I'm not sure what I can fit in. There's a long-shot chance that I might be able to swing by that thing with that guy on Saturday evening. Even then it is tough since T and I will be coming back from an engagement party. I'll call you/Panzer on Saturday evening if it's a possibility. I "sort of" know the area.
In any event, send-offs are sad. Let's instead take this opportunity to focus on a more apt homecoming celebration. I say we call this event "The Billville Hiker Feed". What do you think? Maybe we could have an innagural room 23 indian leg wrestling competition. I use HGH and I think Matty blood dopes so you guys are pretty much screwed.
Good luck over the next months if I don't see you.

just saw mathewski last night at deep gap shelter last night, i'm staying at the cloud9 hostel now. he was planning on heading into hiawassi to get a chicken breast, a dozen eggs, and a pound of bacon. he wanted the first hitch into town and the first hitch out, when i woke up at 7am, he was just headed out of the shelter. so he should be either at plumorchard or somewhere in north carolina..

I want to know what he is thinking only getting one pound of bacon. He and I ate that much for a single lunch on a day hike during the Winter Warmer. I do not know how long he is planning on going before resupplying again, but I expect more then a couple days, I think he should be carrying more bacon.

Historic Philly rocks man. I just visited Ind. Hall recently, and that whole area is just such a cool place to explore. Love Historic Philly. Beginning of White History on this beautiful lay of land...

NAh, that's just where the crack warehouses are.....and a bunch of chop shops too! I was a patient at St. Christophers when I was young......and I thought Upper Darby was rough!!! Stupid suburban girl! (This was back when UD was still a suburb)

Yes it is near independence hall. Its at 5th and Market, on Market street, about 30 yeards from the intersection. I saw it this morning. It had a pigion sitting on it head. Never really noticed it before.

Well he can always switch the 20 below bag for his 25 above bag. I think that was the original plan. At some point he will send the heavy bag home and get the lighter bag. Although I don't know who is holding the lighter bag for him.

Hello to all. I am Max, Matthewskis son (yes he has offspring, scary no?). Although I am not sure of the whereabouts of my wandering father, I did have a "Dude sighting" as you called it. I was coolin' (yes, coolin') at my fathers apartment in South Philadelphia about 5 days ago with a few friends when we spotted this so-called "Dude" aka Brendan Fitzpatrick entering the building via the street level stairway. Just as I was locking the door I turned and caught a glimpse of this "Dude". He looked as though he had been walking for...well not that long, actually I'm quite positive he drove there, but regardless, here he was standing in front of me. He hesitantly approached me and uttered "You must be Max" to which I replied, "Ah yes 'The Dude';we meet at last". We exchanged a few more words in which he explained to me that he was there to "pick something up". Little did he know that I was not fooled by his flimsy and transparent alibi, for when I returned to my father's humble abode, my nasal passages were engulfed in the smell of burnt marijuana.
To this day I do not know whether or not "The Dude" ingested the marijuana smoke purely for his own enjoyment, or if it was a friendly attempt to mask the enticing scent of blunts (yes we smoke quite a lot of blunts in Philadelphia) that had been previously smoked by my comrades and I. It's even quite possible that the lingering odor of marijuana was a mere pawn in a clever ploy, all ingeniously orchestrated by your beloved "Dude" in an effort to camouflage the stench of a substance so foul that one would have to be invincible to withstand, say for instance the BO of a thru-hiker! Whatever his hidden agenda was that day, I have come to this one final and certain conclusion:
Dude...I'm intrigued. Why don't you drop by sometime and we can discuss, and demonstrate, the fine art of inhalation. (Weed only, ABSOLUTELY NO meth,crack,coke,heroin,ecstasy,opium,mushrooms,aci d,mollies,special k,promethazine,GHB,nitrous,china white,doses,raw,ready rock,LSD,xanis,perks,oxys,uppers and/or downers, and ESPECIALLY NO Jenkem!!!)
Everyone I hope you have enjoyed reading my outrageously long thread, and if anyone out there took the time to read all the way down here, you can tell my dad i said "What it be homeslice?". For any non-believers, I am in fact the one and only child of Matthew Claude Weinstone, and heir to the MATCO fortune. He looked as though he had been walking for...well not that long, actually I'm quite positive he drove there, but regardless, here he was standing in front of me. He hesitantly approached me and uttered "You must be Max" to which I replied, "Ah yes 'The Dude';we meet at last". We exchanged a few more words in which he explained to me that he was there to "pick something up". Little did he know that I was not fooled by his flimsy and transparent alibi, for when I returned to my father's humble abode, my nasal passages were engulfed in the smell of burnt marijuana.
To this day I do not know whether or not "The Dude" ingested the marijuana smoke purely for his own enjoyment, or if it was a friendly attempt to mask the enticing scent of blunts (yes we smoke quite a lot of blunts in Philadelphia) that had been previously smoked by my comrades and I. It's even quite possible that the lingering odor of marijuana was a mere pawn in a clever ploy, all ingeniously orchestrated by your beloved "Dude" in an effort to camouflage the stench of a substance so foul that one would have to be invincible to withstand, say for instance the BO of a thru-hiker! Whatever his hidden agenda was that day, I have come to this one final and certain conclusion:
Dude...I'm intrigued. Why don't you drop by sometime and we can discuss, and demonstrate, the fine art of inhalation. (Weed only, ABSOLUTELY NO meth,crack,coke,heroin,ecstasy,opium,mushrooms,aci d,mollies,special k,promethazine,GHB,nitrous,china white,doses,raw,ready rock,LSD,xanis,perks,oxys,uppers and/or downers, and ESPECIALLY NO Jenkem!!!)
Everyone I hope you have enjoyed reading my outrageously long thread, and if anyone out there took the time to read all the way down here, you can tell my dad i said "What it be homeslice?". For any non-believers, I am in fact the one and only child of Matthew Claude Weinstone, and heir to the MATCO fortune. I can see where any doubt would arise as to how a man with such grammatical difficulty could have given life to a future Pulitzer prize winner just 18 years ago, but in any case he is in fact my Pops and if you see him amongst your travels I suggest that you jack him for every last bit of that lightweight gear he has...oh and tell him i said hello.

me, two beers, slyman. room 11. safire. ronnie played music and storys and was the best host last night. hiked in 18 miles over albert yesterday. left at 715, walked slow and easy all day. and arrived winding stair gap 420. second zero of trip today. once at the road at gootch gap for a wild storm and now for the party. second nite under roof last nite. once at neels in malas cabin and last night in slys room. tee shirts and shorts all days and 46 at nite but for a few at 20. warm, safe, well spirited and feeling great. feet perfect. walking out tommorow. will have to catch me johnney. im gone with the wind. my son was accepted to rutgers after being rejected. it was a mistake. go max! i love you boy. max you need a new phone. ive arranged it.

Bacon Thief! Caught red handed! I never thought Matty would stoop this low for a slab of bacon! On the other hand had it have been me in Matty's place I would have just pulled my gun and said to Phat Chap "This is a robbery, don't make this anything else! Hand over that bacon right now!"
