I'm starting a short stint on Monday, four days playing with the beginners at Springer. Maybe I'll see you out there Passionphish. Are you starting at the Approach Trail? Have fun and Happy Hiking.

Lilred: My near *mmmmphhmmm* year old mother doesn't feel that she should re-hike a path that she has already hiked, her words here, "a million times before you (me) were born!" So I said sure. We can skip it and wimp out. At which point I was sent packing back to my wife. We hope to see you out there as well! Please say hi.
We will be obvious, One LARGE man with two beautiful ladies. One ever so slightly older and one clearly too young to have the right mind to say no to her dad's request of joining him on the trail. :clap
OK I'll be looking for you. I guess then you'll be going to FS42 and hiking up to Springer from the road?
If you see an old, 'fluffy' redhead huffing and puffing on the uphills, that'll be me :)

Hi! I am Passionphish's wife. Just so everyone knows. they DID leave monday. In the snow. Much to my chagrin. They cheerfully set off all bundled up. Hope to make it to Neels gap by the early weekend. Hope everyone is having a great hike!!!

Hang tough! If your husband is anything like mine then it's just like being in your own backyard with snow, rain, etc. They'll be fine and better yet, will probably have the time of their lives!!!!

Have a great hike passionphish you fortunate SOB. Wish I could break away fronm the things that restrict me to go the distance.
Just got back from the trail and hiked a couple of days with Passionphish and his family. They're doing great and figuring things out. Hope to run into them this summer.
