Advice please: can anyone tell me (an educated guess works fine) how available Esbit stove fuel tablets are along AT? Would also like some sense for alcohol and canisters. Many thanks in advance.

I've always been lead to believe that esbit users resupply via mail drop rather than look for it at outfitters along the way.

Denatured alcohol and white gas are the easiest to obtain on the AT. Many hostels and outfitters will have a gallon with which you can top off your fuel bottle. Unless you are lucky and find some in a hiker box, Esbit tablets and canister fuels will most likely require you to get to an outfitter. As Peaks mentioned you can mail them to yourself.

I don't think all outfitters even have Esbit but I never looked for it.
