While looking for something else I found this very interesting to all, and thought I would share this video.

This story is a few months old, but may actually be appropriate for the AT. There was a wolf shot in the Northeast Kingdom of VT last year maybe 100 miles from the AT in New Hampshire.

Used to live in east Anchorage just down the street from Fort Richardson and neighborhood dogs disappeared all the time, some even from fenced yards. Not uncommon in AK.

You have an interesting past, I wouldn't mind visiting Alaska or VT

Both are great. Alaska is rougher, but VT can surprise you.

5 generations of my family are from VT, but I'm the last one still here. Was born in AK and have bounced between the 2 since I was little one. Just wish they weren't 4500 miles apart.

we see wolves all the time at our cabin,

yesterday we saw 4 moose and two bald eagles.

wolves mainly eat older dogs and chained to the post sled dogs.

I live in northern Wisconsin, and in the last few years there have been many dogs killed by wolfs. Most have been hunting dogs, and a few farm dogs and family pets.

those people seem so surprised that while walking around in alaska some wolves "attacked" them. gimme a break.

Seems like some rubber pellets loaded in a 12 gauge could do them some good (the wolves, not the women)
