I was in Wally World today and spotted another grease pot. Don't know if this is new or what. I've never seen it before. I brought it home and weighed the post minus the lid and strainer. 5.2 ounces. Made of stainless steel.

Here is a picture:

I will make a stovestomper style stand/windscreen and see how it does.

Yup that one has been out for awhile ,Ive seen some posts on other site discussing this same pot. It looks pretty much the same as the 18oz stainless mug that Walmart sells in the sporting goods section. Ive been using this one for awhile on dayhikes and one nighters .I also have the aluminum grease pot which I like but dont always need that big a pot. Antigravity gear has a nice looking 3 cup non stick aluminum pot that cost about the same as a grease pot and weighs 3.8ozs with lid. I might try that one next. How much does the stainless grease pot weigh ?? And does it have a lid?? I just made a lid for my ss mug out of the top of a bean can. Streamweaver

I have that Antigravity Gear 3 cup pot and lid with cozy. It is non-stick. The best thing is it is black on the outside, so it heats up much faster than my shiny silver aluminum pot of the same size.

This grease pot has a lid, but it is fixed to the strainer that you wouldn't use. If I decide to keep it, I may try to drill out the two tiny spot welds and JB it to the pot.

Weighs in at 5.2 ounces without the strainer/lid.

I posted this on another thread, but it seems more appropriate here.
I recently bought a CVS Pharmacy Grease Pot.
.95 Quart
4.3 ounces including lid and built-in handle.
$3.97 plus tax.

Its pretty nice, but almost too small in diameter for my soda can stove.
