I think I remember being told by a SOBO, that you can hike throught NY, deli to deli!!! :cool: Can anyone name them and where they located??? : :confused:

Well, you got a deli at West Mombasha road, .6 left to Bentleys Deli.
Orange Turnpike used to have a fruit stand but it closed.
.3 on Arden Valley Road brings you to a snack concession.
.4 on Palisades Parkway takes you to a tourist info center with sodas and snacks
the summit of Bear Mtn has M&M machines and pop. And down at the Inn
there is a restraunt and snack bar (under reconstruction this yr)
At the circle its .8 to Ft Montgomery where there is a deli
a mile down NY301 at Fahnstock park there is a concession
It is sometimes possible to order pizza at RPH shelter, tho none of the 11 people I shared the shelter with had a phone (good thing or bad?)
.4 on RT52 brings you to Mtn Top market with pizza next door
NY 55 has a hot dog stand .2 down the road
NY 22 has a hot dog stand practically on the AT and Tonys Deli, .5 to the right.
Some of the places are off the beaten path a bit i.e. either need a hitch or some good road walking. Hitching not allowed in NY though! If you search they are there.
Also Worthingtons Bakery on Trail in jersey and Heaven Hill farm at rt 94 near Vernon and some delis practically on trail in connecticut
