Does Anyone have any tips for washing a synthetic bag? Any Specific products to use to wash it? I have the steps to do it (From a video on backpacker.com) i just dont know what to watch it with. Thanks in advance.

I'd say sport wash or Ivory Snow or flakes. And by all means find a large front loading washer.

I never wash my bags. Ever. In my opinion, they are never the same afterwards.

If your bag needs washing use a front loading machine & dry on a low heat, or I lay my bag on chairs outside. Then buy a bag liner it will keep your bag in better condition.

My real goal is to restore loft... and after 15 years or so, its funky. I was going to say a little funky, but its pretty funky. Will I be able to do that?

I would suggest you've gotten your money's worth out of this bag and invest in a new one. Synthetic fibers lifespan is shorter than down. 15 years sounds pretty good to me. Check out the Nickwax products.

I washed my marmot pounder. Also washed my son's Cats Meow. No problems that I could tell. I use the Sport wash. But 15 years is a lot of time on a bag. It's surely lost loft and its rating.
