We just discovered that most of the zip codes in the “Mail Drop Locations” section of the ATC’s “Thru-Hike Planner” (2007 edition, pp. 84, 86, and 88) are wrong. The errors occurred last year when the mileage columns in these pages were updated and unfortunately, it wasn’t caught that other columns were thrown off.

Until we can post a corrected PDF on our website, please refer to the A.T. Data Book or A.T. Thru-Hikers’ Companion for correct zip codes.

We apologize profusely for any inconvenience caused by these errors.

Hopefully most thru-hikers who are currently on the Trail are using the “Sample Resupply Itinerary,” which lists mostly resupply points rather than post office maildrops. All zip codes and addresses there are correct.

If you have any questions about this publication, please contact ATC’s publisher, Brian King, at [email protected].

More information about resupply and maildrops can be found on our web site at:
