I am beginning a film/video project about the hiker experience. I have found that this experience is so much more than one hiker and filmmaker can portray through his own lens. So I am collecting footage from those who would like to be a part. I am looking for video footage that speaks to the people of the trail and how they interact among each other and with the trail when fully immersed the experience. Though I am partial to the AT this film is about long distance hikers.
Some of you may have seen me in '05 hiking the Northern half of the AT with my field camera. I finished up last year in the South with a video camera. The AT has been the best experience of my life and I am looking for the best way to share this experience through film.
So, I open this idea up for all to discuss, even the endless jokers out there. If you would like to submit footage, I will give all proper credit, reimburse shipping costs and return footage your at request.
