Ok.. took my new Hyperflow with me last week when I hiked Damascus to Erwin.
I must admit, the pump did much better than I anticipated that it would. The bottom line is that it didn't give a bit of trouble and was noticably faster than my MSR Miniworks. I don't think I'd ever get 3 liters a minute out of it though.
I was worried about the shape of the prefilter causing the pump to suck a lot of air - didn't happen. It pumped fine even with the prefilter half submerged in water. It pumped just as fast on day 5 as it did on day 1 - gotta like that.
I only have one issue left and that is how to backflush it. Even with the instruction manual I can't get it to backflush and I've had a few other people try as well - no joy. If anyone knows how to perform this trick, please PM me.
