Anyone know of any good fishing spots on the LT and what fish are there?

Haven't fished any of the ponds along the way. The Winooski and the Lamoille rivers are good for a variety of fish, but I only go for the trout. My regular spot on the Lamoille is pretty close to the suspension bridge on the LT. The North Branch of the Lamoille is excellent for brookies.

Pulled a laker out of Long pond in Eden right next to the LT, but that was a long time ago and I've been told they're all gone now.

Ran into a guy fishing Stratton Pond a couple of years ago, but it didn't look like he was having any luck.

Most of the best fishing on the LT is in the Southern part: Stamford Stream, Stratton & Bourne ponds, Winhall River. Lots of territory to explore off-trail in the Stratton area. You cross some decent streams at many road crossings, but after Killington, you're up on the ridge and the only other worthwhile spot I can think of (other than Winooski & Lamoille rivers as mentioned) is Sterling Pond. All of these have decent to great trout fishing.
