Just like the Flyroc 310, but a boot :sun

My letter to inov-8:
"I am a big fan of the breathability of the Flyroc 310s. I was wondering if there is any thought of making a level 5 breathable boot anytime soon? The Roclite 390s boots look good, but I really prefer breathability over waterproofing as I have found even after submerging my foot in water, that the Flyrocs dry in less than 30min. I believe that a Flyroc boot would be ideal for giving a little more ankle protection and yet still have excellent breathability.

Thanks for considering my idea,
David"

Two replies so far in just a day:

"Hi Dave,

Yes we are planning to do this and are in the prototype stages of developing a fully breathable and extremely light boot. In 1-2 months we will have the roclite 370 available which is the non Gore-Tex version of the 390 and slightly lighter.

Many thanks & Best regards

"Hi, Dave.

Thanks for taking time to write and give Inov-8 your input. The UK
design team has received a copy of your email so you're reached them
with your idea.

As for the boots that we have available immediately, there is a
non-water proof version that will be arriving to our USA warehouse the
first part of May. It's the roclite 370 boot, which is the same shoe
as
the roclite 390GTX but without the goretex waterproof membrane. It was
chosen as National Geographic Adventure magazine's gear of the year!

It does have a very breathable mesh upper, similar to the flyroc 310,
however it also as a thing sheath on top of the mesh that is meant to
keep some of the larger bits of debris out of the shoe.

Cheers,"
Lisa

Looks like I know which boots I'm buying next. :banana

I love my 390's - much lighter than my Vasque Breeze's and cooler too.
