Looking for the lightest white gas stove on the market. Anyone know?

I think it is the Simmerlite. I am not totally sure. There was a new crop of stoves coming out about the same time I was leaving for Iraq.

I would look at what is reliable first, with the least need for field repairs. Then look for a light weight stove out of the ones that list.

optimus nova + = reliable, fast, easy, adjustable

also, 15oz and pretty expensive (130 i think?)

I have a Simerlite. I got it for being a beta tester on that model. I've never taken this one hiking - but the one I beta tested performed well and was easy to maintain.

When I was looking into it last year the Simmerlite is what I came up with as being the lightest and the most easily found for repair parts etc. The stove it's self is listed at 8.5 oz and fits inside of my cook set for easy compact packing. I have had no problems with mine.

I don’t know what its weight is (doesn’t feel heavy to me) but for reliability and ease of use I still think the Svea if hard to top. No plastic to get melted, no pump to quit working, no separate tank with a hose to start leaking fuel. Just pure stove perfection. Over 100-years and still going strong.

About 18oz, worth every one. It is a lifetime investment. Google for dealers with best prices.

My Svea is going on 30-years old, still going strong. It looks used, but it just won't quit working.

Like other's before me have suggested, the MSR Simmerlite. My wife and I have been using one for years in summer, winter, spring and fall with no problems.
