I'm planning a section hike from up around Asheville, NC (exact starting point hasn't been decided as yet) beginning the 1 of June, and ending at Harper's Ferry around the 1 of August.
I am in pretty good condition (though not much hiking lately, as I've been living in the South Carolina Lowcountry), so I don't think averaging around 15 miles per day will be a problem - obviously, I'd be starting out more slowly than that.
In particular, I'd like opinions on any maildrops that might be useful along that section - good, unnecessary? Any suggestions for hiking that section?
