hey man...haha,i'm in the same boat.
i opened up an ING savings account with money deducted every week to go towards my thru hike.I like that i have it set up so i don't have to physically save it on my own,someone else is doing it for me.

yea im hiking alone..my friend wants to hike with me but im 99% positive he will back out and or rely on me to plan it all out and him basically hold my hand the entire trail so ive kicked him aside..i feel like i would do beter alone, i know some days i will want to crank out 25 miles and others 5..i like going at my own pace and going with what my body is telling me..im just looking to hike with a few people along the way and make a few friends
