A friend of mine found a new online outfitter while searching around for a new pack. I went to the site and was looking for a hamock. I ordered the HH Asym-Deluxe and the snake skins. I happen to mention that I was a member of WB and he gave me a $20.00 discount!

He said he has been on WB and thought it was a great site. He has some things but still has a longway to go but can get just about anything you want. I was inquiring about if scouts could get a group rate and he said yes so I asked him if WB counted as a group....said he would see what he could do just tell him if you're a WB'er!

The site is a little strange in appearance. All of the categories are listed three times on the home page!

Hmmm, might find a bargain or two but not a great selection of name brand tents and backpacks . . . the first couple of categories I looked at.

In talking with the guy this is a new company and he wants to cater to hikers...I think everyones input would do him good. I'm looking for the discounts! Email him I'm sure he would appriciate it. He has been very receptive to my "input"!

relativly speaking, the site's design is pretty good. much better than some other small/indepedent outfitters sites ive seen. i do agree that the nav options are a bit overkill, but better that than have no navigation

I thought this was neat:

Wish they had a more modern look instead of a "60's Boy Scout" style. It makes me want to go out and dig a trench around my canvas tent...

Thanks for the feedback on my store. It is a work-in-progress for sure. I've already made some changes based on the comments. The information on WhiteBaze has been huge in helping me determine the products I would like to carry.

Growing up just a few miles from Springer, I've developed a real passion for the AT. I hope that BR will be a resource for those in need of gear for their journey along the trail.

Thanks Again,
Big Rock

Big Rock, it makes more sense now. Replace your "pardon our dust" post with a couple of featured or sale items from popular categories.

Big Rock - how 'bout specs on items? Weight, pack size, floor area for tents, etc...

Edit: OK, now I'm seeing specs on some items, but not on all.

Good price on this truck stove if you need one.

Good luck with your biz!
