I'm looking to start planning this summers many trips, mostly weekenders, but looking for reviews or journals about Pennsylvania's backpacking trails.

I can't seem to find much except general info about trails.

Any ideas?

Also, where might I find some info about backpacking in Acadia National Park, in Maine? I'd like to go there this summer, but would be going blind, and I feeling like a tourist.

www.thebackpacker.com (http://www.thebackpacker.com) has a forum with quite a few PA hikers if you can sift through the rubbish

Lame, but it will get you started. No camping in the park other than the two campgrounds. Good day hiking, if you can find parking. Plenty of good spots much closer to your home.

This is fun to monitor: http://www.hazecam.net/acadia.html

PAHikes was the one I was looking for. I had seen the site last summer but couldn't remember it. Bookmarked this time around.

Can't wait to do the Old Logger's Path and Chuck Keiper Trail, wanted to them last summer but the BFT, and two weekends on the AT was more than enough.

This summer's plan? Go light! Sooo tired of carrying 30lbs!
