Trail Access At Atkinson

I plan to start a hike on monday at Atkinson, VA...

...Does anyone have details about where the trail is located in relation to some landmark in town? The Companion doesn't note that the trail is any distance from the trail so I was just wondering.

Are you talking about Atkins Va.? The trail going southbound from Rt.11 is across the street a little to the right from the gas station. Going north go under the overpass and look for field with wooden cow stopper on right. Do not walk down I 81. Hope that helps.

Yes, I did mean atkins...
...There's an Atkinson, VA right where I go to school and I have a bad habit of saying one when I mean the other.
