View Full Version : Anyone use rss? Have AT blog list?

I am addicted to my rss reader, and it just occurred to me that I could follow more than just the blogs I follow now.. I want to follow some good Appalachian Trail blogs. Anyone have a list of blogs they follow already? Sort of just to keep me from having to search through them all and find good ones, or even ones from 2008, and ones that are updated regularly enough.

Anyone? I'm pretty non-specific about the format (wordpress, blogger, your own rss, whatever). Just something I can read, and get into the AT mindset from.

I saw that trailjournals offers that. There are so many there, however.. I was hoping someone had picked the cream of the crop, and I could just borrow that list. Thanks for the reply!

I've found a few so far in my search (none are mine, and I don't know these people). They just seemed good, frequently updated, and very informational.

I welcome more. Especially ones with lots of pictures (cause that's what I love).

Trailjournals offers RSS feeds for each journal
I just subscribed to some from Trailjournals only to realize that they don't provide the whole article to the rss subscription... that's a dealbreaker for me. :(

I'm still looking though.

Here's ours. It's got my AT "journals" (newspaper articles I wrote while hiking), photos, and soon to have a bunch of results from an AT Thru-hiker Study I started about a year ago.

Cool - I just finished switching everything over to wordpress, so gimme a holler if you find anything goofy or broken links. I'm glad that project is finally in the rearview mirror!

I understand what you mean, but if you're following one it's still good to know when it is updated
