can be disposed of and rebuilt each night. Weighs only the weight of your water bottle (well, half of a 2 liter bottle)

Is there enough rainwater to survive on?

i meant rainwater as a backup not as a primary water source

Even in a heavy downpour, you don't get much water unless you're gathering it over a wide area. A lot of rain--say 1 1/2 inches--is only a few ounces in a camping pot.

How much does your Katy pocket weight? I use a Sweetwater filter system. Iti s one piece of equipment I really rely on and use alot. It seems to do the job.

Rainwater does need to be filtered. You can collect it off a corner of your tarp if you pitch it correctly.
