View Full Version : Hittin the trail
Well, the time is finally here!! I leave for the trail tonight and start hiking tomorrow. I'm taking the Greyhound to Roanoke and Passionphish is picking me up and taking me to the trail. I'll be hiking from Catawba to Harper's Ferry, hopefully. A good five weeks of hiking!! I think the most dangerous part of this hike will be the bus ride.....:rolleyes:
Hope everyone has a great summer and I'll check in here if a computer lands in my lap during this hike. I'm not seeking one out this time, but will post my journal when I get home. Happy Hiking all!!

Have a great time, Mary. I hope to be out there this summer, finishing up TN and getting to VA.
My youngest and I just did the section that YOU bailed out on ME last time. ~wink~ We did an easy 2-and-a-half day section hike from Hwy 19E to Kincora on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. She leaves for a 3-week school trip to Europe in the morning, but says as soon as she gets back, she wants to head to Springer and hike to Hwy 19E before school starts back! I may have two hiking daughters in the family.
