I am thinking of hiking the Smokies in June, how busy is the AT?

If you're gonna be there, it'll be pretty quiet! :D
But really, the Park'll have plenty of activity, tho maybe not as crazy as during April. Avoid weekends if you can, and consider doing sections other than the A.T. Keep in mind that even if shelters are full, you can camp in the areas immediately adjacent to them. Lastly, make sure you have and can display all necessary permits as Rangers may check on this. Have a great trip.
