I’m looking for someone who might be interested in doing a short interview for my blog on my web site at www.hikinginthesmokys.com (http://www.hikinginthesmokys.com/).

Basically I’m looking for an AT thru-hiker, preferably someone who’s currently on the trail, but will gladly speak with a hiker who’s already completed the trail in a recent season.

My questions will be conducted via email and will focus on your experiences in Smoky Mountains National Park. The interviewee can remain anonymous if they choose to do so. I would also like to include 2 or 3 pictures of you and/or anything interesting that you saw while you were in the Smokies.

If you, or if you know of anyone who is hiking (or hiked) the AT, has an interesting story to tell while in the Smokies, and would be interested in doing a short interview, please contact me at [email protected].

Thanks.

Jeff

Hey Jeff,

It's been a couple of years sense my last thru-hike but I still get out there and hike a couple hundred of miles. Anyway I'm just down the Road from
Louisville, Ky in Brandenburg. If I can help just let me know.

Smokies: wet, crowded, nasty shelters, generally miserable. When it's not raining, it's humid. Gatlinburg (!!!) for resupply. Could be nice in another season, I suppose, but not for most NOBOs.

Great for SOBO'ers though. Had none of the above problems.
