My local REI sells a set of hiking poles, made of Titanium. There was no brand name on them. They looked like they were abnormally long (5ft). I'm almost 6'4" tall and when I held them up they were at shoulder height(uncomfortable). Is there any benefit to having a hiking poles that are this long, or are they for a really tall person. The price for these poles were outragious.
