I see a wide range of costs for these guys. Ebay has just the stove for $20, REI has the "Mini" kit for $30 and some military surplus websites have the full version for $12 but they rape you on shipping ($10 shipping for the kit).

I have a cook system in place already. All I need is the stove and a pot stand. I would be find with the flat aluminum pot stands that make a triangle or the stand from the Mini kit.

Does anybody sell just the stove and the mini pot stand?

Thanks.

I've seen just the triangular stand and the burner called the Westwind. Type Trangia Westwind into Google shopping and it comes up for $13.29 as the lowest price.

Awesome. I didn't know of the other name for them. I will poke around some and order one.

Thanks Alligator.

YW. Are you sure you want it? Mine's a little on the inefficient side. I get better economy with my Brasslite, and I think you may be able to do better with others.

Yeah, I just want to give one a try. I've been using a slow stove for a while and I like the features the Trangia offers.

Also, I noticed most of those 'westwind' stoves are just the pot stand for $15 or so. The stove and stand are about $25. Not bad but I can stop into the local REI for $30. I may just do that on my lunch hour. :)

That's wrong about the burner not included. I've seen it for $15 for both before. I might be able to find it.

OTOH, the I've always liked the pot and frypan lid if that's what you are going to get at REI. The pot is a tad small 0.9l if you try to cook some things, but otherwise fairly light.

Here you go, Campsave (http://www.campsaver.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=327550)r has just the burner, $12.56.

*They also have a lot of the parts there too.

Off topic, kinda, but I'm seriusly considering getting the big trangia 25-3 set for car and canoe camping.

Johnny,

I have a full trangia cookset. The one with the tea pot in addition to the stuff the 25-3 has. It is not antistick. I bought it when I had prospects of a camping girlfriend. She went down the trail alone, so I'm back to one pot meals.

I'll sell it for half of the new plus S&H. Let me know and I'll find a site with pics or take some myself.

I bought mine at http://thru-hiker.com/materials/index.php but I don't see them listed anymore. I think it was 17 bucks.(westwind model)
The outfitter in Hotsprings had one the last time I was there.

Campsaver.com I bought the stand/windscreen today for $5.50 or about that. It was under $6.00 I had to look around for awhile to find a company that sold the individual parts. This is the only company I could find. -SunnyWalker
