Looking for suggestions for a warm, light middle layer and an outer rain shell, any suggestions? What middle layer and outer shells work for you on the long, 6 month trek down the AT?
Outer Shell:
A Frogg Toggs (http://www.froggtoggs.com/catalog/2008catalog/page05.asp) rain jacket/pants and am debating weather or not to "invest" in a paclite shel (http://marmot.com/spring_2007/mens/outerwear/shells/minimalist_jacket)l, Marmot Oracle (17 oz) (http://www.rei.com/product/746611)or Marmot Precip Essence (http://www.rei.com/product/762386) instead? Any suggestions for an outer shell?
Middle layer: Right now I have a nylon long sleeved shirt to go over my nylon short sleeve shirt. Not sure whether or not to add a Marmot Driclime Jacket (http://marmot.com/spring_2007/mens/outerwear/wind/driclime_jacket/details) (14 oz) or a Mtn Hardwear Ozone Jacket (1.3 lbs) (http://www.amazon.com/Ozone-Jacket-Mens-Mountain-Hardwear/dp/B0002M3BUM) I want to be warm but don't want too much weight, any suggestions for a middle layer?
What's your favorite middle and outer shell combo?
