I have no interest in this house other than I knew the owner. She died about a year ago. The view from the house is straight at Angels Rest near Pearisburg in the small town of Narrows. Here is the link

The price you saw it correct. $80,000. There are two more houses on the same street in basically the same location. It's a small house but it has a full basement with outside access. She was very clean. Narrows is eat up with these types of houses. IMHO this one has the best views. There ain't much in Narrows but it is one of the most beautiful towns in America.

Here is a picture I took from the house a few years back. That's Angel's Rest on the left. This is a small sample of what you see from the front door.

Thank you for sharing this with us, and I hope someone looks into this. It's a beautiful spot.

I'm not familiar with the area. Is it in mortar range of Damascus?*

*last time I expressed interest in a house LW posted an ad for in Damascus, he said "yankee stay home". coming from a guy who hails from rhode island, I thought I should be careful where I set foot south of the mason-dixon line. :)

Yankee=Northerner that comes South for a visit.
Damn Yankee=Northerner that moves permanently down to the South.

It's your choice...:)

BTW, the view from that house is spectacular.

Neat little place with a neat view. If this were available in this price range about 15 years from now, I'd be VERY interested. Too much for me to bite off right now though.

Tin Man,

You'd be safe from Damascus as it's 160 trail miles North of Damascus. It's the very southern end of Central VA. Extremely pretty country!
