Hi, I'm planning on doing the BMT during my winter break and would like to do some short trips before to get prepared (anything from weekend/extended weekend to a week or so (i'm also planning on doing the foothills trail in early nov. as a primer)). I'd like to find a hiking partner and although I live in florida I'm more than willing to drive some distance for a good trail (it's summer here and it can get quite gross). If anyone is interested in doing anything let me know.
