I just found a great panorama stitching program called Hugin, http://hugin.sourceforge.net/. It does the traditional panorama automatically. Then allows you tweak it as well. Its also open source.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. I currently use PS3 Extended for my panoramics, but I'm always open to new programs.

Woohoo, It's ported to Linux. I saw where there was a build for Ubuntu, so I checked the repositories and there it was. Downloading now.

I have used a lot of Pano stitchers over the years and for simple panos almost anything will work ok. But if you want to stitch/blend in difficult situations I would suggest a program called PTGUI. It's not free but it gives excellent results even in difficult situations. When you compare, look at the blending of blue sky, check if it properly stitches close and distant objects, and does it properly do various projections.

If you're serious about your panos, PTGUI is the ticket!
