View Full Version : Southwest Va???
I am planning on hiking the 50 or so miles from Troutdale (Dickeys Gap) south to Damascus in mid October. Should there be plenty of water? Are there places to park in Damascus for the week? I am planning on going sobo as I figure I am more likely to find a safe place to park in Damascus than I am at Dickeys Gap, am I correct in this. Any advice for this section is greatly appreciated.

Park at MRO in Damascus. As for water, NC to TN to Va have been having some long dry days then really short but strong rainfalls. Water levels have been starting to drop a bit.
