Rainman walked northbound of this section on the 4th. From what he told me, it was a little low in a few places but running. Usually the first one to go is Grindstaff spring.

There is a posted sign around Iron Mtn Shelter for a contaminated spring.

The Vandaventer spring is a good hike down.

I was up at Pond Flats a couple weeks ago, and it was flowing.

Ok Lw I will tell you the real answer you have always you wanted to know.. look at the above posts in this thread. Stringing folks along for the right answers will hold you back when you want to move foward, to be a mod. You have the information, you have the right answers, you certainly have the dedication. I have voted you worthty of several Mod posts. What holds you back is not your freinds, Its your answers to many posts, you truly need to be more personable and longer winded in your good answers. You have a wealth of thru hiking information and some of your posts need to lighten up. People really do care.

I honestly think if a forum came up and you took it up a notch - things would happen.

Hiked this section from Kincora last weekend (July 4th weekend). Had absolutely no problem with water anywhere we needed it. We were dumping water on leaving shelters, just not to haul the weight.

If you have questions about specific spots, let me know and I'll try to check my notes.
