View Full Version : One short overnight hike on the AT in Virginia

I was up visiting relatives last week near Wytheville, and did a overnight hike on the AT. I hiked up Crawfish Valley to the AT, and then hiked North, getting out at Bland.
Sure is pretty up there.:sun

No ticks at all. There were a number of seeps and little run offs that provided all the water I needed.
At lower altitudes, most notably the bit of Reed Creek that runs through Crawfish Valley, there was an abundance of water.
