mid april weather

Looking to head north in mid April. What are general temps for the nights? I know all weather is possible but trying to determine if Hennessy Hammock is better than Agnes seedhouse tent. I have both. I know it will rain. I plan on walking till dark then camping so am not sure if there are suitable campsites to be found through out the trail. I do like the space a tent gives me but need smooth ground to set up. Any ideas to what you prefer?

You might have a handful of sub-freezing nights in the first two or three weeks. You can also expect occasional daytime temps of 80 degrees. But really, temps can and will be all over the map.
