it certainly does NOT sound like she was out for a hike. The outcome in cases like this is usually bleak.

The missing woman they are speaking of is my aunt...she would never leave her car parked and place her purse, keys, cell, and lunch in the trunk and only take with her the ignition key to her car. There is 100% no doubt in my mind that there is foul play here. Please pray for her, if you have any information please contact the dade county police in Georgia. Her name is Judy Payne, she is a 46 year old 5'2 about 140lbs. She has two grown children, one of which is 4 months pregnant. Please help if you can.

I had to look the place up since I wasn't familiar with it: http://www.gastateparks.org/net/go/parks.aspx?LocationID=38&s=0.0.1.5

If any WhiteBlazer here saw anything or knows of anything, please share it.

It's been 15 years since I've been to Cloudland. I hope and pray the ending is a joyous one.

Please stay positive for the family - we know there are members of it posting here. Things like this are always sensitive but not always sad. Recently a lost pair of hikers in the Erwin area came out tired but healthy.

I have hiked Cloudland a few times as a dayhike with my wife and kids when they were young.

To the family, we will keep Judy in our prayers.

Nikita,

I just put something on the front page asking if any of our members know anything to contact the local sheriff. I hope everything turns out all right for your family.

Can you merge the 2 threads?

Yes, sort of. Anything before my first post would end up superseding it and screwing up the front page. So the best solution is to close this one and re-direct to that one.
