apparently--according to Fox news--bears have "invaded" Russia.
lock up the woman & children and grab yer pitchforks ... the bears are invading. [in my best redneck, russian accent]

I believe they were referring to the "invasion" of the mining camp, not Russia.

thanks much for attempting to clarify but I did understand the article. my post, by the way, was an attempt at humor.
but let's be clear -- the platinum mine invaded a healthy bear population, not the other way around. and the miners happened to be the next available meal after invasive fishing methods took away the bears' main food source.
do they have the right to defend themselves and shoot the hairy beasts? sure! but, lets not demonize (or imply that they weren't already there) an animal for eating.

Very said.Few are that way ...but still sad.
In FL we gators that are much worse then any bear...due to no common ground.
