Has anyone left a mail drop at Dry River Campground before? Im planning on hiking thru crawford notch on the first week of August. I have tried calling them several times but noone ever answers!
Any info anyone has would be most helpful to plan my trip!

That is a State facility. I doubt if they'd be willing to hold a mail-drop. You could try Crawford Notch Campground (http://www.crawfordnotchcamping.com/)(nearby) which is family owned.

Was treated well there, a nice contrast to the snooty counter clerk at the higher-room-price AMC place up the road that didn't really seem to be non-dayhiker oriented. (Ripoff dinner price, too, FWIW.)

No idea if Crawford Notch would accept maildrops, but their store wasn't too bad (selection or prices) for medium-term resupplying. Go there, and you'll probably be happy you did.

Any idea if Dry River Campground is an option?

No. That is a state park, I believe. Use Crawford Notch Campground - I used them last year for a mail drop (see my post in the other thread).

The best place to send mail is Gorham New Hampshire. This is an awesome trail town and welcomes hikers. If you don't want a drop on that side I am pretty sure mail can be sent to the Crawford Hostel or even to Pinkham. A.M.C. could help you with best mail drops in the Whites.
