Im considering resupplying here with a maildrop, but Ide rather not have to hitch into town and arrive durring PO hours of operation. Is there somewhere close to the AT that would accept a maildrop?
Call Crawford Notch Campground (http://www.crawfordnotchcamping.com/). They may be willing to hold a mail-drop for you, especially if you stay the night.

We used Crawford Notch campground as a maildrop last year (got a ride down the mtn from a day hiker). They have a hiker bunkhouse also for a reasonable price and they drive you back to the trailhead in the AM.

They seemed like really nice people at the Crawford Notch campground when I was there last fall. They were helpful and cheery. I bought a book from their store. The hitch into the post office is a long one.
