but there's campgrounds, waysides and lodges with bars. you ain't gonna die of thirst in SNP. plenty of fluids to be had
If you really planned, and are prepared to spend a decent amount of money, you can get away with carrying only 1 days worth of food in SNP.

talking with a group of thru's two weekends ago, they said there was plentiful water everywhere there was supposed to be with the exception of one spring in the north district. i believe it was around hogback mtn? the water near high top hut was fine as was the spring near elkwallow wayside and north of beahms gap.
