Has anyone had experience with the Tarptent (http://www.tarptent.com) Virga or Squall? What I'm especially interested in is the amount of room inside when the tarps are pitched. How easy is it to move when inside, how do they handle rain, etc?

With the Virga, is there enough room for storing gear while you sleep? Also, is rain protection sufficient in the Virga? or does rain tend to splash up from the edges? From looking at it, it seems that it's a pretty snug fit and that if you were caught in a good rainstorm, you may have to be careful to stay in the very middle of the tent to avoid water around the edges.

The Squall looks like it would provide a little more comfort room.

Note that I'm new to tarp tenting... and looking to pick one up sometime soon.

I've read the info on Henry's website, but I just wondered if anyone had any firsthand experience with one or both of these tarps.

I just got a Six Moon Designs Euporia II and can't wait to try it out. It has plenty of room for one and gear. And I can sit up inside. It has side windows that allow extra air flow. Only 33 oz. I will post after an overnight hike in two weeks.

Where can one view this tent? I did a search on Google for Six Moon Designs Euporia II and could not find anything...

I'll be using the Squall on my 2004 thru-hike-- I could have gone with a Virga, but I like having the extra room. Since I'll be on my own, the Squall provides more than enough space for myself and my gear, and I have plenty of room to sit up, change clothes, pack and unpack gear, etc. I definitely feel like it was a good choice.

There was also a poll about this recently, located here: http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3586. You might find some stuff there.
