FYI -- This is a "Readers Digest" version of a profile of Trail Angel Mary written by my colleague Jerry Gleason. The full story will be available Friday morning at pennlive.com. Not sure if the RSS feed will pick that up or not. If not, I will post a link.

The same is true for the other link here about the Earl Shaffer shelter being dismantled.

We post short versions of stories ahead of time on a newsblog, which is where the feed comes from. The full stories appear on the site after the paper goes to press.

These two are running as a package on the trail, along with a story by one of our interns on some locals who helped a hiker with a medical emergency recently.
