I know that if you miss a P.O. drop shipment you can leave a forwarding slip to have it sent to the next PO down the road. Are there special mail forwarding slips? or do you use standard Change of Address forms?

I know you can call a PO and have them forward Priority mail, but will they forward letters and stuff as well with a forwarding slip?

Just use a change of address form. If in doubt, go talk with a clerk at your local post office.

All first class (incl. letters with $0.37 stamps) and priority mail will forward, and some POs may do that from a phone call, but many will want you to fill out the change of address post card in person--depends on the clerk. What you'd fill out is the standard address change card that's attached to an ad booklet. Your present address would be that PO so filling out a card won't mess anything up anyplace else. I'm not sure if post cards will forward.
