I just repalced all my Stuff Sacks with Sil-Nylnon sacks that I made at home, 11 oz lighter then what I was carring. Anyone use Sil-Nylon that can say how they stand up to trail conditins, or do I need to plan to replace then often.

Sure, they work fine.
I did have to replace my food bag after each thru hike. IT gets used hard and yes, i had 2 or 3 mouse holes in one cause i sleep with my food and tarp it.

They hold up well as long as you sewed them good and have a good design. I even stuff my sleeping bag HARD into one that looks way too small for it with no problems.

I sewed all the seams two times. they were seam sealed befor sewing also. A thre hike is more then I would expect. Thanks for the info.

I haven't worn out any of my silnylon stuff sacks yet. Some are five years old.
