This is the incredible shrinking fuel bottle.
As your fuel is consumed, you can make your bottle smaller to make more room for your return home items.(garbage) Or use it for small amounts of fuel in it's shortened state, for short hikes.

Something to look at.It's made by Pop Tite. Patents pending worldwide.

Plastic is LDPE

It's interesting, but is it practical? If when you loaded your pack, you fit the full bottle, why would a reduction in volume - while you're on the trail - be that beneficial? Obviously you had room for it when you set out, and unless you're collecting other people's trash, what are you accumulating in your pack that you need more room as you go? It seems like a very minor convenience at best.

I’m not sure why I would need a shrinking fuel bottle. As a hike goes on you end up having more room in your pack, not less. Yes you pack out garbage, but the package is always smaller and lighter then it was with the food in it.

I have one of these, had it for years, or at least the one I have looks the same. It’s a collapsible water bottle. It’s not even close to being as strong as a Listerine bottle.
