hey Gang...
It's never too soon to start planning. I plan to hike from Franklin North thru the GSMNP in Spring of 2009.
Question: Anybody know how to get from the north side of GSMNP back to Franklin to get my car?

I am interested in knocking out GSMNP as quickly as possible and would prefer to do it southbound. If you are only looking to hike the 71 miles through the park I would be willing to meet you at Standing Bear farm on the northern end and you can drive my car to the Fontana Dam visitors center and we can hike back to our own vehicles separately. Yeah I stayed with them this year. I'm gonna bet they can straighten me out.
