Send some greetings to a guy who keeps one of the most informative sites on the net. He helped convince me to switch to the Ion alcohol stove, the Hennessey Hammock, and the Moonbow Gearskin pack. Of course, all three of these are a P.I.T.A to use without instruction, so his website is a great help. It's also helping me to plan next year's thru-hike.
