You could always walk, in the over-all scheme of things it's not that far.
But I'd bet you get a ride if you hitch. My wife and I found Great Barrington to be pretty hiker friendly.

Sorry I don't recall I called them out of the yellow pages while eating my lunch in a small Mexican Restaurant near the bus station. The food was pretty good the Salsa was excellent. Bonus was the Pineapple Soda.:D
