I am planning a hike in the Great Smoky Mountains for the weekend. I am planning parking around the Icewater Shelter off of NC441/TN71. Does anyone know if there are places to park there?

Huge parking area at Newfound Gap. Big tourist stop.

We called the rangers this week. Alot of shelters closed due to bear activity so what I would recomend is that you call the ranger station and get a update on shelters and permits. Have a great hike!
