I have carried those on the trail and love them...Do you know if they contain any transfats? I don't have a box handy to check.

How many calories per ounce? A good rule of thumb for the weight conscience is at least 100 cal/ounce.

I'm almost sure that they have hydrogenated oils which is kinda related or directly related to trans fats. Hydrogenation is the process of bombarding a fat with hydrogen molecules. This morphs the molecular structure and can keep good fats out of your cells, hence collecting in the surrounding areas. I've pretty much cut products with hydrogenated oils out of my diet this winter but its hard because pretty much any porocessed food with a shelf life has the junk in it. (hydrogenated oils act as a preservative and bring the regular fat content down in FDA label) I need to find out more on the effects of someone who is burning every single calorie they take in. I'm not sure if it has the same effects on someone who is just casually active.

If anyone knows... let me know please!
