is parchment paper the same as baking paper because i want to dehydrate some sauces but in australia i can find parchment paper.

Jay, yes, it is the same. Just don't use waxed paper. Baking or parchment paper has silicone in it. Great stuff.
The inserts or tray liners do work - though in many cases the paper works better.

Simmer it as long as possible to thicken it and/or chill it in the refrigerator before drying.

do what skidsteer says plus cut the paper a little oversize and fold up the edges.

The inserts or tray liners do work - though in many cases the paper works better.A friend recommended cutting the liners you get in cereal boxes and using those. Are they waxed paper or siliconized paper, do you know?
