View Full Version : parchment paper the same as baking paper?
is parchment paper the same as baking paper because i want to dehydrate some sauces but in australia i can find parchment paper.
please delete this post as i have just found out about inserts for the dehydrator im getting for sauces.
Jay, yes, it is the same. Just don't use waxed paper. Baking or parchment paper has silicone in it. Great stuff.
The inserts or tray liners do work - though in many cases the paper works better.
how do you make it so the sauce doesnt leak over the sides of the baking paper

Simmer it as long as possible to thicken it and/or chill it in the refrigerator before drying.
how stop leaks?
do what skidsteer says plus cut the paper a little oversize and fold up the edges.
