Ziploc has a new bag.

ZiplocŪ Brand Easy Zipper Expandable Bottom Storage & Freezer Bags feature a pleated bottom that expands into a flat base, helping the bags stay upright so they're easy to fill.

USE WITH CAUTION, if the "easy zipper" is what I think it is, the little sliding thing, it will not seal as tight as the type you press together and may allow contents to spill especially liquids.

Not really - as long as you keep the cozy upright it will be ok.
One of the cozies I make is for the "Steamer Bags" that have a pleated bottom.

I have done some searching and came across some High Temp pan liners. I feel much safer using this rather than a zip-lock. I bought some of the Pan Saver pan liners 2quart size. I have cooked some food in them while pan was on burner and worked well, also have used just in the coozy I have maid works good both ways. The temp rating on them is -100deg F to 400deg F one bag weighs 5.2 grams. No they do not zip closed but you can twist it closed I use a string and a push button to help close mine. http://www.pansaver.com/
